The presentation of European school clubs was held in Lutsk

The presentation of European School Clubs (ESC) was held in Lutsk. 10 of such ESC must arise in Volyn region. 4 of them are already acting in regional center in secondary schools ¹¹ 4, 14, 21, 26.  Creation of such clubs is being actively prepared in Volodymyr-Volynskiy, Kivertsi, Gorohiv and Kovel towns. Organisation of ESC is being made in the frame of program “Build the Europe together!”, and is realized by Volyn Public Youth Organizations Centre NASHA SPRAVA and the Foundation “Nowy Staw” in Lublin, Poland in support of Polish-American Fond of Freedom and Fond of  S.Batory. The next trend of this program is setting up in Lutsk the first in Ukraine European Information Center.

The main object of European school clubs is to make contacts between Ukrainian youth and the youth of West Europe. For young people it is a chance to get urgent information about EU, it is a good possibility to develop oneself,  realize oneself, to gain knowledge, that would be useful in future and influence upon the well-being of  oneself, of community and of the country.

 Beside young students, teachers, coordinators of European school clubs representatives of Local Educational Authorities, the Major of Lutsk Anton Kryvytskiy, the vice-consul of Polish Consulate-general in Lutsk Andjey Paradovski took part in the presentation. They not only approved the initiative but declared their patronage on the project.

During the presentation, the initiator and coordinator of the project “European school clubs”, the chairman of Volyn Public Youth Organizations Centre NASHA SPRAVA Vladyslav Stemkovski said, “The main idea of the project is not only to create ESC, but to form, in the full sense, the Ukrainian model of setting up similar structures, that could be further used as methods in the whole Ukraine.” He also announced about the beginning of “European Olympics”.  The Olympics consists of two parts: a test “What do we know about EU and European countries” and competition of pieces of arts on the European themes. Andjey Paradovski also promised to represent the best works in Brussel – the capital of EU.
