“European Olympiad” among European School Clubs in Lutsk

of May, on the Day of Europe the first in Ukraine “European
Olympiad” among European School Clubs from: Lutsk, Rivne, Kivertsi,
Kovel, Gorohiv, Volodymyr-Volyskiy, Turiysk towns was held in Lutsk
in the Town Council. We remind that organization of ESC is being
made in the framework of Build Europe Together Programme, and
is realized by the Volyn Public Youth Organizations Centre „NASHA
SPRAVA” and the Foundation “Nowy Staw” in Lublin, Poland in
support of Polish-American Fond of Freedom and Fond of
S.Batory.
“European
Olympiad” consisted of several parts: a test on the themes of
geography, economy, national traditions of EU members and
competition of pieces of arts on the European themes. Every club
could introduce 7 pieces of arts. Besides, in the presence of
journalists, schoolchildren
participated in mini competition in putting together a map of Europe
from puzzles. In the solemn atmosphere were rewarded the conqueror
of the European Olympiad. This mission made by patrones of Build
Europe Together Program: Voyzeh Galonzka consulate the general
of Poland in Lutsk, Volodymyr Bondar national deputy of Ukraine.
From the name of Mayor of Lutsk was Sviatoslav Kravchuk the first
vice-chairman of Mayor, secretary of Town Council. Among the
presents, that received conquerors, were rather valuable things –
two music centers, youth bags, radios, souvenirs with European
symbolic. European School Clubs the schoolchildren of which had the
best knowledge about Europe, beside other presents, received modern
school black-boards. So everyone was glad to take part in the
European Olympiad.
